Annual Economic Awards Dinner

GLAAACC’s Annual Economic Awards Dinner was created to acknowledge those who work towards the advancement of the African American business enterprise. Each year, individuals and companies are awarded for their commitment to advocating for the small business enterprise.

Technical Assistance Seminars

With the assistance of a grant from Southern California Edison, GLAAACC has created its Edge Workshop Series. This series of seminars was created with the goal of providing small businesses with expert information on various aspects of running a business including social media know-how, PR planning, financing options and more.

Town Hall Luncheons

GLAAACC Town Hall Luncheons are generally held at a Downtown Los Angeles venue, and a keynote speaker addresses issues, concerns and opportunities for small business owners. Town hall luncheons are events where dialogue, networking, and reconnecting take place. Keynote speakers have included Councilmember Herb J. Wesson, Jr., Los Angeles Council District 10, Councilmember Jan Perry, Los Angeles City Council District 9, and Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas

Membership Mixers

The Chamber hosts quarterly membership mixers at various Downtown Los Angeles venues. The mixers bring together Chamber members and other business professionals representing various fields to not only network but share ideas

GLAAACC in the A.M.

The GLAAACC in the A.M. series began with the vision to host a networking event for small business members and associates with a preference for morning functions. The GLAAACC in the A.M. events have featured guest speakers such as former City Council District 9 Councilmember Jan Perry, former Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo and former Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) Commissioner Forescee Hogan-Rowles, just to name a few. Each speaker has not only addressed our guests, but provided information about upcoming business opportunities and/or information about business related issues.

Giving back to the Community

GLAAACC provides under served inner-city youth with toy donations for the holiday season and has donated personal care items to the Union Rescue Mission as well as turkeys to families in need during Thanksgiving.
