The Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce (GLAAACC) was established by a group of business owners and executives to promote the growth of black-owned enterprises and to expand into the international arena. "Marrying L.A. companies with export financiers and international-sales contacts is a top priority." - Chairman Gene Hale

GLAAACC proactively works as a vehicle that combines the resources of the surrounding African-American communities with other organizations to secure solutions for expanding our business and cultural communities. The Chamber's immediate goal is to increase African-American presence and participation in the multi-million dollar Los Angeles City and County business economies.

  Our Town Hall Meetings, inaugurated by GLAAACC's founding Chairman, Gene Hale, assemble business, political and community leaders with our Chamber and community population. The Town Hall Meetings continue to be a key relationship-building and information-gathering opportunities that have gained acclaim from the community at-large. GLAAACC hosts call meetings whenever eminent issues impacting business need to be addressed in a public or organizational forum.

  GLAAACC is firmly committed to the preservation of African-American culture as a major resource in the community at-large. We produce and co-sponsor cultural projects that promote a better understanding of community.   GLAAACC has assumed a leadership role in expanding the international trade opportunities for its membership through advocacy and education. By maintaining a well-established relationship with the U.S. Department of Commerce, GLAAACC has firmly positioned itself within the "global marketplace," providing its members a gateway to key business opportunities outside of the United States. Participation in trade shows and summits further promotes goodwill and encourages import/export-related business ventures.
