Comerica Bank
Donald A. Kincey joined Comerica Bank in 1999 after working with nonprofit organizations in South Los Angeles. As the vice president of Community Development and Public Affairs, he is responsible for the implementation of Comerica’s economic development initiatives in California by focusing on ethnic markets as a driver of new business opportunities and to promote Comerica as a good corporate citizen.

Union Bank Foundation
Carl A. Ballton is a senior vice president within the Corporate Social Responsibility Group of Union Bank. He also serves as president and COO of the Union Bank Foundation. In this position, Mr. Ballton is responsible for implementing the charitable contribution policies and initiatives of both Union Bank and the Foundation. Receiving his B.A. from Occidental College, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, Mr. Ballton is active with numerous civic and community organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Southern California and the Los Angeles Urban League where he serves as Chairman of the Board.

Angela Gibson, director of External Affairs at AT&T is responsible for public policy and community relations activities in cities located in East Los Angeles, South Los Angeles, and portions of the West Los Angeles community. She is the corporate liaison to selected federal and state officials and serves on the board for the Huntington Park Chamber of Commerce and Culver City Chamber of Commerce. She has been recognized for her community and corporate efforts by the Black American Political Association of California, Association of Black Women Entrepreneurs, Our Authors Study Club, Women In NAACP, Black Business Association and the Black Public Relations Society.

Eric F. Boyd, Sr. is the district director for Congresswoman Laura Richardson, who represents the 37th Congressional District of California. Prior to his current position Mr. Boyd served for 4½ years as District Director in the office of then-State Senator, now Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas. Mr. Boyd’s career also includes several years of political and non-profit management and consulting, which was preceded by 16 years as executive director of YMCA’s in Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, and Orange County. While working with the YMCA Mr. Boyd distinguished himself in many aspects of management. He was recognized by the YMCA’s of Southern California Management Resource Center for excellence in Board & Volunteer Development, Fundraising, and Strategic Planning in successive years.

Kimberly Carter is an attorney for Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP where she currently practices in the firm’s labor and employment group. In the past, Ms. Carter was a litigation associate with Wicker Smith, OHara, McCoy, Graham & Ford, P.A. in Miami, Florida. She also worked as a tax associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in San Francisco, California. Ms. Carter volunteers with many organizations including the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles.

Joseph Chow currently works in the Diverse Business Enterprise organization for San Diego Gas & Electric and Southern California Gas Company as the manager of Supplier Diversity. Mr. Chow works both inside and outside his business by identifying and matching woman owned, minority and service disabled veteran businesses and companies that specialize in natural gas operations, such as pipeline construction of natural gas distribution and transmission systems. Mr. Chow is a native of Kansas where he attended high school and college. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from St. Mary’s University and holds a CPA certification.

Gene Hale is president and CEO of G&C Equipment Corporation, Gence Corporation and G&C Service and Supply Corporation. The companies are engaged in the sale, lease and procurement of construction equipment, material, and supplies. Encouraging strong community involvement has been one of Mr. Hale’s principal objectives. He has promoted these values by providing equipment and financial support to churches, charities, schools and local business organizations. Mr. Hale earned his Business Administration degree from California State University-Dominguez Hills in Los Angeles and is a native of Birmingham, Alabama.
