  Gene Hale

  The consummate entrepreneur, Gene Hale is president and founder of G&C Equipment Corporation, which since 1981 has engaged in the sale, lease and procurement of construction and materials handling equipment.

Mr. Hale also is president of Gence, a construction company. Seeking to marry business, civic and community initiatives, Mr. Hale pulled a small group of African American entrepreneurs together to found the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce (GLAAACC).

  A well-respected and renowned biostatistician, medical administrator, educator and author, Roland Merchant, Sr. is a Healthcare Consultant at Roland Merchant & Associates in Los Angeles. He was Vice President of Strategic Planning at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center-LA.

Mr. Merchant has over twelve years of experience in management and strategic planning at Stanford University Hospital and has held administrative positions in New York City at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center, Roosevelt Hospital, West Adams Community Hospital, and the Department of Health.

A well-respected professional, Angela Gibson, Director of External Affairs at AT&T, is responsible for public policy and community relations activities in cities in the Los Angeles community. Additionally, she is the corporate liaison to selected federal and state officials.

Ms. Gibson joined AT&T formerly known as SBC/Pacific Bell in 1979 as a Staff Clerk in the External Affairs Department. Promoted to management in 1981, she has been responsible for personnel, budget matters, special event coordination, external communications and public policy strategies.

Before founding Concourse Concessions Inc., Ms. Dixon was a managing partner for various airport retailers. While serving as COO and managing partner of Mir Kanon/ Peideau Inc., her average annual gross sales exceeded the $30 million standard for more than five consecutive years.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Ms. Dixon held high level positions for several federal agencies.

  Lemuel Daniels

Lemuel Daniels is best described as a trailblazer. Thanks to his vision and financial acumen the mystique of the market no longer precludes Black companies from raising capitol. Mr. Daniels facilitated the convergence of Main Street and Urban Street. He is a first vice president of Salomon Smith Barney and was previously a vice president at Merrill Lynch, Associated Director at Bear Stearns, Assistant Vice President at AG Becker and Vice President at Drexel Burnham Lambert. Mr. Daniels takes great pride in serving as a bridge between urban companies and Wall Street. In 1991, Mr. Daniels helped Black Entertainment Television raise millions of dollars, it became the first African American company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

With strength of mind and persistence, Clarence A. Daniels, Jr. became the President & CEO of Concessions Management Services, Inc. and Chairman of Hartsfield Hospitality LLC (HHLLC). Both companies operate food and beverage concessions in several airports. Concessions Management Services, Inc. and HHLLC operates six food and beverage locations, headquartered in Los Angeles and Atlanta.
Mr. Daniels is a partner in the Tinsley Group, franchisee owner-operator of the TGIFridays Restaurant at Tampa International Airport.

Using his skills and expertise, Karim Zaman became president and founder of The Zaman Group, which provides representation for minority manufactures of office and janitorial Products, over the counter pharmaceuticals, and electrical supplies in the Southern California region in the area.
