2nd Annual Back-To-School Drive

The Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce (GLAAACC) Education Fund & Foundation hosted its 2nd Annual Back-To-School Drive and school supplies were provided to the students of the Southern California Foster Family and Adoption Agency, Aviva Development Department, and ChildNet Youth and Family Services. The Foundation would like to thank all who participated, especially Bank of America who sponsored backpacks and supplies and The Muller Company and Kaiser Permanente Health Care for not only supporting the drive by provding school supplies but also with marketing the drive!

GLAAACC Education Fund & Foundation 12th Annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon

The GLAAACC Education Fund & Foundation provided students from underserved communities with scholarships for their college educations at the GLAAACC Education Fund & Foundation 12th Annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. Scholarship sponsors included: Broadway Federal Bank, Comerica Bank, Dazzle & Design, Farmers Insurance, Hensel Phelps Construction Co., the Southern California Gas Company, and Union Bank. Table Sponsors and Supporters included: Concourse Concessions, Inc., G & C Equipment Corporation, Icon Blue, Inc., Swinerton Foundation, and Wells Fargo Bank. We sincerely appreciate all the support for our deserving students making a difference in our community.
